"Mommy, will you play with me?" my 4-year-old asked.
It was a question I hadn't heard in a long time. I was busy unloading the dishwasher, but I couldn't say "no" to Jiro.
His big brother, Satchel, was spending the night at a friend's house, and Jiro was home alone.
A first.
"What do you want to play?" I asked.
"Legos," he said.
I agreed and followed him into his room. We sat on the floor and dumped out all of the Legos.
